Gibson House Museum

The Gibson House at 137 Beacon Street was built in 1859–1860 and is a well-preserved example of a mid-19th-century Boston brownstone with substantial original interior decoration and furnishings. It was home to the Gibson family for multiple generations and now operates as a historic house museum interpreting Victorian domestic life on Beacon Hill. The building illustrates urban residential architecture and social history in 19th-century Boston.
