Tripp Family Homestead

The Tripp Family Homestead, also known as the Tripp House, is a historic house located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Built around 1771 by Isaac Tripp, the first settler of Scranton, this remarkable structure showcases Federal architectural style due to renovations made by subsequent generations of the Tripp family. Recognized for its historical significance, the homestead was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972 and is the oldest building in Lackawanna County. Today, it serves as a special events facility, offering visitors a glimpse into the region's rich history.
