Evermay

Evermay is a historic Federal-style house located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Built in 1801 by Samuel Davidson, who played a role in the land acquisition for the White House, the house has undergone various renovations and ownership changes over the centuries. Notably, it was transformed from its original design to a Victorian style before being restored to its Georgian simplicity by diplomat F. Lammot Belin in the 1920s. The property has been a site for numerous events, including corporate gatherings and weddings, and is now owned by Dr. Sachiko Kuno and Dr. Ryuji Ueno, who use it for their nonprofit organization. Evermay was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, making it a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
