Tuxworth Fullwood House

Tuxworth Fullwood House is a historic building located in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, Australia. Originally constructed in 1942 as the No. 55 Australian Camp Hospital during World War II, it later served as the Tennant Creek Hospital Outpatients Department until 1978. Designed by architect Beni Burnett, this was the first brick building in the town and remains one of the last military structures in the Barkly region. After its decommissioning, it was transformed into a museum showcasing local history, including a 1930s police cell and a steam traction engine. The building is listed on the Northern Territory Heritage Register and was restored in 2009, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Australia's wartime history and local heritage.
