President's Office, George Washington University

The President's Office at George Washington University is located in a row of historic townhouses at 2003 G Street, N.W. in the Foggy Bottom area of Washington, D.C. Built in 1892 in the elegant Second Empire style, these townhouses were originally designed by architects George S. Cooper and Victor Mendeleff for owner John W. Foster. Acquired by the university between 1928 and 1934 during a campus expansion, the buildings underwent remodeling from 2000 to 2002. They are now part of the George Washington University Law School and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, making them a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and the evolution of educational institutions in the capital.
