Badgerow Building

The Badgerow Building is a historic twelve-story structure in downtown Sioux City, Iowa, notable for being the tallest building in the city for many years. Completed in 1933, it showcases stunning Art Deco architecture designed by K. E. Westerlind, featuring a distinctive terra cotta facade with bronze ornamentation and geometric designs, including a recurring Native American theme. The building's elegant interior boasts a lobby adorned with black Belgian marble and pink Tennessee marble. Recognized for its significance, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and named one of the 50 Most Significant Iowa Buildings of the 20th Century.
