Burnet House

Burnet House was a prestigious hotel located at Third and Vine in Cincinnati, Ohio, operating from 1850 until its demolition in 1926. Named after Ohio Supreme Court Judge Jacob Burnet, the hotel was a hub for notable figures, including Abraham Lincoln and Edward VII. Designed by acclaimed architect Isaiah Rogers, it featured luxurious amenities such as 240 guest rooms, a grand dining room, and a gilded dome, making it one of the finest hotels of its time. Lincoln famously addressed crowds from its balcony during his 1860 campaign. The hotel was demolished to make way for a new building, but its legacy as a symbol of Cincinnati's historical hospitality endures.
