Yosemite Transportation Company Office

The Yosemite Transportation Company Office, built in 1910, is a historic log structure located in Yosemite Valley, California. Originally serving as a hub for motor and horse stage services connecting the rail terminal at El Portal to Yosemite National Park, it features rustic architecture with decorative cedar bark patterns. After the rise of automobile access in the late 1920s, the building transitioned to a clearinghouse for accommodations and later became a residence. Despite plans for demolition, it was preserved and relocated to the Pioneer Yosemite History Center. The office was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, making it a significant site for visitors interested in the history of Yosemite and its transportation heritage.
