Freemasons Lodge Building (Karachi)

The Freemasons Lodge Building in Karachi, constructed in 1914 during British rule, is a historic site made of yellow sandstone, located near D.J. Sindh Govt. Science College. Originally used for Freemason Society meetings, it was colloquially known as 'jadoo ghar' or 'House of Sorcery.' After the ban on Freemasonry in 1972, the building was repurposed for the Sindh Wildlife Department and is now managed by the Sindh Wildlife Fund. Recognized as a protected heritage site since 2001, it is undergoing renovations with plans to include a museum, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers interested in history and architecture.
