Unruh Building

The Jesse M. Unruh State Office Building, located at 915 Capitol Mall in Sacramento, California, is a notable government structure designed by Weeks and Day. Renamed in 1987 to honor Democratic politician Jesse M. Unruh, it houses the state treasurer's main office. The building features a famous inscription on its south facade, 'Bring Me Men To Match My Mountains,' from a poem by Sam Walter Foss. Despite its historical significance, it has faced criticism for its aging interior, requiring substantial repairs. Adjacent to the building is the El Soldado Memorial, adding to the site's cultural importance.
