Bretons Manor

Bretons Manor is a historic Grade II* listed building located in Hornchurch, London Borough of Havering, with a rich history dating back to the 12th century. Originally named after the Breton family, the manor was rebuilt around 1740 and served various purposes over the centuries, including a sewage farm from 1869 to 1969. Today, it is home to the Bretons Community Association and is surrounded by 172 acres of grounds that form the Bretons Outdoor Recreation Centre, offering a variety of outdoor activities. The site is also connected to Beam Valley Country Park, enhancing its appeal for tourists and researchers interested in local history and recreation.
