The Venetian - Grand Canal and St. Mark's Campanile replica

The Venetian Resort recreates Venetian architecture with an indoor Grand Canal featuring gondola rides and an exterior replica of Venice's St. Mark's Campanile. The resort's shopping and public spaces are built to evoke a Venetian streetscape, including painted sky ceilings in parts of the interior. The complex opened in 1999 on Las Vegas Boulevard and is a major example of themed resort architecture.
