Renzo Piano Pavilion at the Kimbell Art Museum

The Renzo Piano Pavilion is an addition to the Kimbell Art Museum designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop and opened in 2013. The single-story pavilion provides expanded gallery space with glass walls, skylights, and a zinc-clad roof while connecting to Louis Kahn's original building via an underground link. The addition is noted for its restrained materials and careful use of natural light to complement the Kahn building.
