United States Mint - Philadelphia

The United States Mint in Philadelphia traces its origins to the Coinage Act of 1792 and is the oldest Mint of the United States. The current Philadelphia Mint building at 151 N Independence Mall West opened in 1969 and is an active coin production facility; production and processing areas are security-restricted and not accessible to the general public. The facility produces circulating, proof, and commemorative coinage for distribution to the Federal Reserve.
