Government Building (Toronto)

The Government Building, also known as the Arts, Crafts and Hobbies Building, is a historic exhibition venue located in Exhibition Place, Toronto. Constructed in 1911 in the Beaux-Arts architectural style by George W. Gouinlock, this one-storey building features a distinctive 'E' floorplan and a large dome. Originally serving as a site for government displays during the Canadian National Exhibition, it has a rich history, including use as barracks during World War I and hosting town hall meetings in the late 1950s. Since 1993, it has been home to the Medieval Times dinner theatre, offering visitors a unique dining experience with medieval jousting performances.
