John Corbley Farm

The John Corbley Farm, also known as Slave Gallant, is a historic house located in Greene Township, Pennsylvania, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1984. Built around 1796, this two-story brick dwelling features a stone foundation and gable roof. It was constructed by Rev. John Corbly, a local Baptist church founder and participant in the Whiskey Rebellion. The farm's name, 'Slave Gallant,' is inspired by Slieve Gallion in Ireland, reflecting Corbly's heritage. The site is notable for its rich history, including the tragic Corbly Family massacre in 1782.
