Odense Palace

Odense Palace, located in the city of Odense on the island of Funen, has a rich history dating back to a 15th-century monastery. Originally a residence for the Knights of St John, it transformed into a royal palace after the Reformation in 1536. The current Baroque structure, designed by J.C. Krieger and completed in 1723, features a grand hall and beautiful gardens. The palace has served various roles, including a governor's residence and a military command center during the Napoleonic Wars. Today, it houses administrative offices and is surrounded by the King's Garden, which is open to the public, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
