Hong San See

Hong San See is a historic Chinese temple located on Mohamed Sultan Road in Singapore, built between 1908 and 1913 by migrants from Fujian province. Originally overlooking the sea, the temple is now surrounded by modern high-rises but remains a significant cultural site, managed by the Singapore Lam Ann Association. The temple features intricate architecture, including granite columns, ornate carvings, and traditional Chinese ornamentation. It was gazetted as a national monument in 1978 and underwent extensive renovations from 2006 to 2010, earning recognition for its heritage conservation. Visitors must climb a long flight of stairs to reach the temple, which houses altars dedicated to various deities and reflects the rich history and traditions of the Chinese community in Singapore.
