2018 Jacksonville Landing mass shooting

On August 26, 2018, a gunman opened fire during a video-game tournament held at the GLHF Game Bar in the Jacksonville Landing entertainment complex, killing two participants and the shooter and wounding several others. The shooting received national media coverage and prompted investigations and discussions about public-event security and gun violence. The Jacksonville Landing site has since been closed and slated for redevelopment.
