Bayouside

Bayouside is a historic Creole raised plantation house located in McNutt, Louisiana, near Bayou Rapides. Built around 1847 by John Augustin Texada, this architectural gem showcases Greek Revival influences and features a striking five bay gallery. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, it is a key part of the McNutt Rural Historic District. The house has a rich history, having passed through various owners, including the Bank of America and the Dunnam family, before being restored by a descendant of Texada.
