Gammel Skovgård, Gentofte Municipality

Gammel Skovgård is a historic former country house located in Gentofte Municipality, Denmark, originally built around 1820 for Peter von Scholten. The estate became a cultural hub in the 19th century, hosting prominent artists and politicians, including figures from the Danish Golden Age and the adoption of Denmark's Constitution. After changing hands several times, it was acquired by Gentofte Municipality in the 1940s and relocated to Krathusvej 36 to make way for a school. Today, Gammel Skovgård stands as a testament to Denmark's rich cultural history and architectural heritage.
