House of the Temple - headquarters of the Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction

The House of the Temple is the headquarters of the Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry; the neoclassical building was designed by John Russell Pope and completed in 1915. It houses the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library and contains a cenotaph to Albert Pike. The building functions as an institutional headquarters and as a publicly viewable architectural and historical landmark offering tours and exhibitions.
