Optimist Hall – food hall in a repurposed textile mill

Optimist Hall is a food hall and marketplace created inside a renovated 1924 textile mill in the NoDa neighborhood. The project opened to the public in 2019 and houses dozens of local food vendors, retail stalls, and shared workspaces. It serves as a regular gathering spot for Charlotte residents, hosting pop‑ups, community events, and weekday crowds from nearby neighborhoods and offices. The development emphasized preserving historic industrial features while creating space for local small businesses.
