The Wellington Rooms, a historic Regency building in Liverpool, England, was originally designed as assembly rooms for the Wellington Club in the early 19th century. This Neoclassical structure, located near the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, has a rich history of social gatherings, including dance balls and tea dances, and served as the Liverpool Irish Centre from 1965 until its closure in 1997. Despite being designated a Grade II* listed building, it has fallen into disrepair, suffering from dry rot and vandalism. Recent efforts have aimed at restoring the building, with plans to transform it into a Science and Technology Hub, although as of May 2024, no definitive plans are in place.
