Heinz 57 Center

The Heinz 57 Center is a historic office building located at the intersection of Sixth and Smithfield Avenues in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Originally constructed in 1914 for the Kaufmann & Baer Co. department store, it later became home to Gimbels department store until its closure in 1986. After years of vacancy, the building underwent a significant renovation and served as the North American headquarters for H.J. Heinz Co. from 2002 to 2013. The building features 790,000 square feet of space across 13 stories and was designated a historical landmark in 1982. Today, it continues to serve as office space, showcasing its rich history and architectural significance in downtown Pittsburgh.
