Tall Oaks

Tall Oaks, also known as the S. McLendon House, is a historic home in Bishopville, South Carolina, built in 1847. This two-story house showcases vernacular Greek Revival architecture, featuring a hipped roof and a striking two-story portico supported by four large stuccoed brick columns. An original brick kitchen remains behind the main structure. Recognized for its historical significance, Tall Oaks was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in Southern architectural history.
