Elisabet Ney Museum – sculptor of Texas leaders

Elisabet Ney's studio, now the Elisabet Ney Museum, is where the German-born sculptor created portrait sculptures of Texas leaders including Sam Houston and Stephen F. Austin. The museum preserves her studio, plaster models, and finished works. Several of Ney's marble statues of Houston and Austin were later installed in the Texas State Capitol.
