Project Row Houses

Project Row Houses is a community-based public art and cultural organization in Houston's Third Ward, founded by artist Rick Lowe and collaborators in 1993 to renovate shotgun houses and create artist residencies and social programs. The site comprises multiple renovated houses used for exhibitions, educational programming, and affordable housing initiatives, making it a long-running example of socially engaged public art. It is nationally recognized for integrating art practice with neighborhood revitalization efforts.
