Binion's Horseshoe - birthplace of the World Series of Poker

Binion's Horseshoe (now Binion's Gambling Hall) hosted the first World Series of Poker in 1970 and served as the event's primary venue through 2004. The tournament began as a small gathering of top poker players and expanded into the major international poker series now known as the WSOP. Binion's poker room and the casino's billing helped establish Las Vegas as a global center for tournament poker.
