Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP)

The Museum of Pop Culture, opened in 2000 as the Experience Music Project, was founded by Paul Allen and housed in a building designed by architect Frank Gehry. MoPOP's collections and exhibitions cover contemporary popular culture topics including rock music, science fiction, and video games. The museum stages rotating and traveling exhibitions and maintains archives and artifacts related to Seattle musicians such as Jimi Hendrix.
