Originally the site of a mansion called Windermere, built by Hotung's adopted son in the 1920s, it served various purposes over the decades, including a college and a military camp. The area has transformed significantly since the 1960s, with the original mansion demolished and replaced by modern housing estates like The Palazzo and Royal Ascot. Today, it is a blend of history and contemporary living, making it an interesting spot for tourists and researchers alike.
