Arizona Diamondbacks win 2001 World Series at Chase Field

On November 4, 2001, the Arizona Diamondbacks won Game 7 of the World Series at Bank One Ballpark (now Chase Field), defeating the New York Yankees 3–2 on a walk-off single by Luis González. The victory secured the franchise's first World Series title, achieved in its fourth season after the team began play in 1998. Chase Field was the site of the decisive game and remains the D-backs' downtown Phoenix ballpark.
