Smith Tower

Smith Tower, opened in 1914 as one of Seattle's earliest skyscrapers, houses offices, a bar, and an observation deck and is associated with longstanding reports of hauntings. Over the decades staff and visitors have reported sightings of apparitions, unexplained footsteps, and occasional anomalous elevator behavior; one recurring tale mentions a phantom elevator operator. These reports are part of the building's lore and have been noted in local histories and paranormal accounts, though they are not scientifically verified.
