Fuerste House

The Fuerste House, a historic two-story brick building in Guttenberg, Iowa, was constructed around 1870 in the vernacular Greek Revival style. Notably, it housed a millinery shop operated by Mrs. L. Fuerst on its first floor by 1891, while the Fuerst family also ran a machine shop nearby. This significant structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 and later became part of the Front Street Historic District in 2004, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
