McWain-Hall House

The McWain-Hall House, located on McWain Hill Road in Waterford, Maine, is a historic Federal-style farmhouse notable for being one of the oldest structures in the area. Built in the late 18th century, it was home to David McWain, one of the town's first settlers. The house features a distinctive 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame design with a central chimney and an irregular facade. Its interior includes a vestibule, main hall, parlor, and original kitchen, showcasing modest vernacular paneling. The property has a rich history, having been established in 1777 and remaining in the McWain family until the late 19th century.
