Young Men's and Young Women's Hebrew Association Building

The Young Men's and Young Women's Hebrew Association Building, also known as the Jewish Community Center, is a historic site in central Baltimore, Maryland, completed in 1930. Designed by architect Joseph Evans Sperry, this three-story brick structure showcases Moorish and Jewish motifs, including the Star of David. It symbolizes the unification of Baltimore's Jewish community by bridging the gap between affluent German Jews and the less fortunate Eastern European and Russian Jews. Now functioning as an apartment building, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and is part of the Baltimore National Heritage Area, making it a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in Jewish history and architecture.
