Jacob Wirth Restaurant, established in 1868, was a historic German-American dining establishment located in Boston, Massachusetts. Notably the second-oldest continuously operated restaurant in the city, it was housed in a Greek Revival building dating back to 1844 and was recognized as a Boston Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The restaurant was famous for being the first distributor of Anheuser Busch products and had connections to the Wirth and Anheuser families from the same German town. Despite its rich history, Jacob Wirth closed in 2018 following bankruptcy and a fire, but efforts to restore the site have continued, with plans for reopening in early 2024. The restaurant has also made appearances in popular culture, featuring in novels and films, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers alike.
