WAPDA House

WAPDA House is a striking nine-story office building in Lahore, Pakistan, serving as the headquarters for the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA). Designed by American architect Edward Durell Stone and completed in 1967, it features a unique blend of modernist and traditional architectural elements. The building is located at Charing Cross on Mall Road, surrounded by key landmarks such as the Punjab Provincial Assembly and Islamic Summit Minar. With a gross area of 51,000 square meters, it houses around 1,000 rooms and includes a 400-seat auditorium for public events. The site also boasts a sunken garden inspired by Mughal design, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
