Sutro Baths ruins and Cliff House

Adolph Sutro opened the Sutro Baths in 1896; the concrete bathing complex burned in 1966 and its ruins remain at Lands End. The adjacent Cliff House, most recently located at 1090 Point Lobos Ave, has been rebuilt multiple times since the 19th century and overlooks the Sutro Baths site. The ruins and Cliff House are commonly featured on local ghost and history tours, with anecdotal reports of unexplained phenomena that are not substantiated by official records.
