Ichiro Suzuki's 262-hit MLB season (2004)

In the 2004 Major League Baseball season Ichiro Suzuki recorded 262 hits, breaking George Sisler's 84-year-old single-season hits record. Ichiro played his home games that season at Safeco Field (now T-Mobile Park) in Seattle. The 262 hits remain the MLB single-season record. Ichiro also won the American League MVP and Rookie of the Year awards in 2004.
