Holland Building

The Holland Building, also known as the Mrs. Clifford L. Jarrett Building, is a historic commercial structure in Springfield, Missouri, built in 1914. This five-story building is notable for its elegant marble, blond brick, and cream-colored glazed terra cotta façade, featuring a distinctive heavy bracketed cornice. Constructed by Louise Holland Jarrett in memory of her father, a prominent banker, it was designed with advanced fireproofing methods following a devastating fire in downtown Springfield. Recognized as one of the best-preserved buildings in the area, it has undergone significant renovations while maintaining its original architectural style. Today, it houses two restaurants on the ground floor and 40 offices above, making it a unique blend of history and modern commercial use, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
