Invention of the integrated circuit by Jack Kilby

In 1958 Jack Kilby, an engineer at Texas Instruments' research labs in Dallas, demonstrated the first working integrated circuit. The invention established the basis for modern microelectronics and earned Kilby the 2000 Nobel Prize in Physics. The work took place at Texas Instruments facilities in Dallas where Kilby was employed.
