Malacañang of the North

Malacañang of the North is a presidential museum located in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, originally built in 1977 as a residence for Ferdinand Marcos and his family. Overlooking the scenic Paoay Lake, this two-story mansion features seven themed rooms that highlight significant events from the Marcos era, including themes like Agriculture, Diplomacy, and Culture. After being refurbished in 2010, it became a popular tourist attraction, showcasing the history and legacy of the Marcos administration. The property is now managed by the Ilocos Norte provincial government, following a legal ruling that reaffirmed its status as a national park.
