Mall at the World Trade Center (destroyed on September 11, 2001)

The Mall at the World Trade Center was a multi-level retail concourse serving the Twin Towers and surrounding plaza, containing dozens of shops and restaurants that catered to office workers and visitors. The mall and much of the World Trade Center complex were destroyed during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The site was later cleared and redeveloped; retail space at the rebuilt World Trade Center is now concentrated in the Westfield World Trade Center/Oculus transportation hub.
