Pavillon du Butard

The Pavillon du Butard is a historic hunting lodge located in the Forêt de Fausses-Reposes in La Celle-Saint-Cloud, France. Designed by architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel for Louis XV, it was constructed between 1750 and 1754 and was originally part of the gardens of Versailles. Over the years, it has been associated with notable figures such as empress Joséphine de Beauharnais and Charles X. The pavilion has witnessed significant historical events, including occupation during the Franco-Prussian War, and was designated a monument historique in 1927.
