The Athenaeum (Das Deutsche Haus)

The Athenaeum, commonly called Das Deutsche Haus, is a late-19th-century German-American cultural center that continues to host performances, festivals, and social events. The building retains German Renaissance Revival architectural details and houses banquet and meeting rooms as well as a restaurant and ballroom. It has long been a focal point for Indianapolis's German-American community and local cultural programming.
