Brønnum House

Brønnum House is a historic 1860s apartment building located in central Copenhagen, Denmark, near the Royal Danish Theatre. Originally constructed as part of the redevelopment of the Gammelholm naval dockyards, it features rich architectural details, including stucco decorations and grotesque masques. The building was home to prominent cultural figures, including the wealthy Jewish businessman Martin Henriques and tobacco manufacturer Bernhard Hirschsprung, who hosted many notable guests, including Hans Christian Andersen. For over a century, Café Brønnum, popular with theatre actors, operated on the ground floor. Today, after a major renovation, Brønnum House houses a high-end cocktail bar and serviced offices, making it a vibrant spot for both tourists and locals.
