United States National Arboretum (Capitol Hill East)

The U.S. National Arboretum was established by Congress in 1927 and operates as a living museum of trees and plants on federally owned land. The site is noted for displaying the National Capitol Columns-a set of historic Corinthian columns from the U.S. Capitol-that were relocated and installed on the Arboretum grounds. The Arboretum hosts public gardens, research collections, and seasonal visitor programming.
