Michigan Central Station (historic Detroit rail terminal)

Michigan Central Station opened in 1913 as Detroit's main intercity rail terminal and was one of the tallest rail stations in the United States. The building ceased regular train service in 1988 and remained largely vacant for decades. In 2018 Ford Motor Company purchased the station and initiated a multi-year restoration and redevelopment program of the complex. The station is a prominent example of early 20th-century Beaux-Arts railroad architecture in Detroit.
