Make Way for Ducklings sculpture

Nancy Schön's bronze group 'Make Way for Ducklings' was dedicated in 1987 and depicts Mrs. Mallard and eight ducklings from Robert McCloskey's 1941 children's book. The figures sit on a granite island by the lagoon in the Boston Public Garden and have become a well-known photo location. The sculpture has been periodically cleaned and conserved and is frequently cited in guides to Boston public art.
